Today BlackBerry held press conferences around the world to announce the already well known and expected BlackBerry 10, along with two new devices, the BlackBerry Z10 and BlackBerry Q10. Last week, Protect Your Bubble USA went over some of the rumours surrounding the BlackBerry 10 announcement; today, we'll tell you about the Z10, where to find, how much it will cost you, and how to protect it:

Get to know the specs for BlackBerry Z10

What kind of goodies did BlackBerry put into their newest flagship device? The new smartphone will feature a 4.2" display with a 1,280 x 768 resolution. Weighing in at 4.78 oz, it may be larger than the iPhone 5 and Samsung S3, but the device is still smaller than the Lumia 920, the only other phone out of the four to feature the same resolution. The BlackBerry Z10 will sport a Dual-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 with 16 GB of storage with an optional microSD addition. The new phone will operate on the newly designed BlackBerry 10 OS and will function with Wifi capabilities, including 4G access. Blackberry Flow, Hub, BBM Video with Screen Share, and a camera with Time Shift, all new BlackBerry 10 features, will be included. The phone's battery supplies up to 13 days of standby time or 10 hours of talk time.

What kind of damage will the Z10 do to your pocket?

The full retail price of the Blackberry Z10 is set at £479.99, putting it on par with the cost of other major smartphones on the market today. For plan prices, ZD Net reveals that EE will sell the new device starting at £49.99 with a £41 per month, 24-month long contract. Vodaphone will be asking for just £29 for the device, but with a more expensive tariff at £42 per month for the Red Data plan. Carphone Warehouse will be charging £36 per month with no upfront cost. Pricing from Three and o2 has yet to be announced.

Find the Z10 at your favourite UK retailers

According to BlackBerry's blog, top UK smartphone retailers including o2, Vodaphone, Carphone Warehouse, 3UK, BT, Phones 4u, and EE will all carry the new device. While the black colour device will be available tomorrow at most retailers, the white will only be featured at Phones 4u exclusively for a few weeks, with other retailers set to sell the white colour by mid February.
